Tyler Smith is a writer-director and University of Southern California alum. He likes stories about outcasts and loves stories that love their black characters. His film FOR MY CRIMES - MARISSA NADLER amassed 23K views online and screened at the Cleveland International Film Festival, where he now facilitates Q&As. He also photographs concerts around the US for The Luna Collective, having covered popular artists including Feid, Steve Lacy, James Blake, and Faye Webster.

Tyler is inspired by his late grandpa’s multiform creativity. His first artistic passion being music, Tyler released his debut EP Erupt in 2019 on his grandpa’s first birthday among the stars.

Tyler loves riding trains across the country and hates wearing his hair ungreased in the sun. He lives in LA but misses his family in Cleveland.
